During the COVID-19 outbreak, attorneys will be requesting more time to get their cases going.
What is a Motion to Enlarge Time?
An enlargement refers to the extension of time during which a party may plead a case, file a requisite document in court etc. The party seeks the court’s leave for granting such time when he or she files the Motion to Enlarge Time.
A party (or parties) requesting an extension, continuance, or stay must file a motion in writing. Informal requests for an extension or a stay made by phone or e-mail to the staff attorney are not permitted and will not be granted.
Don’t Have One?
