An artist contract or art commission contract is an agreement between an art consultant and a client who wishes to use specific services of the consultant. This is done for a specified amount of time at a specified rate of compensation. This agreement is signed by both parties at the time of agreeing to the contract. The artist is able to specify what is included in the arrangement, fees and cost, in addition to limiting liability on themselves if the client does not hold up to their end of the contract.
